The regulatory, economic and social dimensions of the decision were reviewed, along with its potential impact on artisanal fishermen. Members also discussed the role of the measure in organizing and strengthening the sector’s sustainability, while emphasizing the importance of striking a balance between regulatory requirements and the interests of those engaged in this vital activity.
The Committee members reviewed the executive status of a previously Wishes on “Agricultural Cities: Opportunities and Challenges,” and noted that responses from the relevant entities invited to attend are still pending.
The meeting was chaired by H.E. Abdullah Al Malek Ahmed Al Shahi, head of the Committee at the Council, and attended by Committee members.
