The Economic and Financial Committee of the Shura Council discussed its report on the draft Securities Law, which it has been studying during the second Annual Session. 

 

This law aims to regulate the securities industry in Oman in line with future changes in the market. The committee decided to refer the draft law to the Legislative and Legal Committee for its legal comments and views.
 The meeting of the Committee was chaired by H.E. Ahmed Said Al-Sharqi, Head of the Committee and in the presence of their Excellencies members of the committee.
 
During the meeting, the staff of the Economy and Development Sector in the Council delivered a presentation on the efforts and  accomplishments of the committee during the second Annual Session of the Ninth Term in various legislative aspects, as well as follow-up tools, and topics referred to it by the Council Bureau.
