Under the Under the patronage of H.E. S.G. of the Royal Court Affairs, Shura inaugurates a number of electronic systems

Shura Council inaugurated a group of electronic projects in Oman Council, which included its Visual Identity, its new Website and its Smart Phone Application, in addition to a number of electronic pages, such as the electronic documentation. The ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs, in the presence of a number of Honorable Members of the State Council, Their Excellences Members of the Shura Council and officials of Oman Council.
The ceremony began with the speech of HE. Ali bin Nasser Al-Mahrouqi, Secretary General of the Council. He firstly praised the efforts exerted by the Council's staff during the past period, which produced a number of electronic projects in cooperation with the joint administration of Oman Council. He stressed that the experience of the Shura Council in the field of electronic transformation and community communication is a pioneering and attractive one at the local and regional levels

Then, His Excellency the patron of the ceremony launched the Visual Identity of the Council, which is one of the most important tools for unifying the general framework of the work of the Council and its internal and external activities. The vision also included the vision and mission of the Council. The vision of the Council is “ Towards an effective council in the legislative and oversight filed
. " Its mission is
" Contributing to the national decision-making process based on engaging the community and integrating the State institutions
."
The identity of the Shura Council has been created through the capabilities of the Council's staff, taking into account similar experiences internationally and locally. The Council's identity has achieved a number of objectives, most notably the enhancement of the public image of the Council and its legislative roles.
The Council also celebrated the launch of its new website, which comes as an integrated window to provide comprehensive information about the Council. It is, therefore, contributing to presenting the vital role played by the Council in the legislative and oversight aspects. The Council aims at making this site as a link between the Council and the public, and a platform to promote the concepts of parliamentary culture. It includes an integrated documentation of all the work of the Council
.
This website was designed in accordance with the international specifications of websites and the requirements of the parliamentary sites, in accordance with the conditions and specifications adopted by the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The site includes a variety of content and information, in addition to using the feature of text-to-voice for the people with special needs
.
The site visitor can also learn about the members of the Council, their CVs, their qualifications, their participation and their various activities. The site also provides data on the dates and details of regular sessions of the Council and the meetings of its standing committees
.
The site also offers a range of electronic services, including “Citizens Blog” which allows citizens to raise issues related to the work of the Council services and express their opinions on the subject matter. The site also provides the service of booking a seat for attending the sessions of the council. The visitors can also set a meeting with the Chairman of the Council through the website.
The Council expects that the website will contribute to the presentation of its role and achievement of the community partnership in order to contribute to national decision-making.

In the same context, the Council launched a package of electronic systems in its internal network, including the electronic documentation, which comes to keep pace with the Council direction towards the e-government.
At the end of the ceremony, HE Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Council, presented a commemorative gift to the patron of the event
