Shura Council receives Bangladesh Defence Services Command and Staff College Delegation

The Shura Council received headquarters a delegation from the Bangladesh Defence Services Command and Staff College, currently on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
The delegation was welcomed by Their H.E. Ahmed Said Al Balushi and Talal Said Al Maharbi, members of the Shura Council, who expressed the Council’s appreciation for the visit and its significance in reflecting the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries. They also affirmed the Council’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with regional and international institutions.
During the meeting, the Council members provided the visiting delegation with a short overview of the Council's journey since its establishment. They highlighted its legislative roles, mechanisms for discussing draft laws referred by the government, and its contribution to enhancing public participation in national decision-making.
The Bangladeshi delegation expressed their sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and generous hospitality. They praised Oman’s Shura experience and the notable achievements it has made in institutional and legislative development.
The delegation toured the Council's premises, including a visit to the deliberation hall where they were introduced to the electronic voting system used during sessions and the mechanisms for managing discussions.
This visit comes as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and exchange expertise and knowledge, further reinforcing the bridge of cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the People’s Republic of Bangladesh across various fields.
