Shura Council Receives Delegation from the National Defence University of Pakistan

H.E. Said Hamad Al-Saadi, Deputy of Chairman, received a delegation from the National Defence University of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the Council’s building. The visit aims to familiarize the delegation with the Council’s roles and competencies as part of their program to visit various institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
H.E. of Chairman welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the importance of such visits, which aim to explore Oman’s parliamentary experience and its role in transferring knowledge and expertise. H.E. also praised the strong historical relations between the two friendly countries and the significance of enhancing them in various sectors, especially in parliamentary and academic fields.
H.E. gave a short overview of the Shura Council in the Sultanate of Oman and the transformations it has undergone, highlighting the Council’s key roles and legislative competencies in accordance with the powers granted by the Oman Council Law.
During their visit to the Shura Council, the delegation toured the Council's building, where they viewed the deliberation hall and received a detailed explanation about the voting process and the management of sessions. The delegation also visited the Oman Council Library, exploring its contents and research services.
The delegation members praised Oman’s parliamentary experience, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the National Defence University and relevant institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. They emphasized the exchange of experiences and knowledge to support the development of bilateral relations between the two countries in importance of consolidating such relations.
