The Shura Council's Services Committee Meets Specialists from the Sultanate Academy for Administration.

The Shura Council's Services and Public Facilities Committee convened with experts from the Sultanate Academy for Administration on Sunday, delving into discussions regarding the proposed Local Administration Law. The session not only scrutinized the academy's wealth of experience in the realm of local administration but also shed light on its role in cultivating the capabilities of governors, walyes and governmental chairmen across Oman.
The discourse extended to a global exploration of trends in local administration, encompassing regional and international case studies. Of particular interest was the academy's mission to fortify local leadership, promoting well-rounded local development in harmony with Oman Vision 2040. The Local Administration Center at the academy, through research, consultancy services, and educational programs, seeks to amplify the efficiency and effectiveness of local administration.

At the forefront is an initiative aimed at empowering local leaders within provinces, fostering balanced local development, and imparting best practices in local administration to enhance competitiveness. The committee's scrutiny of the proposed Local Administration Law underscores a pivotal effort to furnish a legal framework that resonates with Oman's rapid progression in implementing the governorate system.
