His Excellency Khaled bin Hilal Al Maawali, the President of the Shura Council, received His Excellency Dr. Barna Fodor, the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary accredited to the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador presented a congratulatory letter from the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament on the occasion of His Excellency's re-election as the chairman of the Shura Council for the tenth term (2023-2027).

Additionally, His Excellency the President of the Council welcomed His Excellency the Ambassador, praising the strong bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly Republic of Hungary. He emphasized the importance of enhancing and developing these relations in various aspects. The two sides discussed several issues of mutual interest, exchanging views on some regional issues and developments.
The Ambassador also lauded the excellence of the relations with the Sultanate of Oman and its effective and positive role with various countries worldwide and in the region. He expressed his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Sultanate and its people under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.
