H.E. Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, received today (Tuesday) H.E. Abdesalam Khatimov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

H.E. the Chairman welcomed the Ambassador, praising the level of Omani-Uzbek relations and the continuous progress they are witnessing across various fields. He affirmed the Council’s keenness to support initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation in the legislative sphere and promoting the exchange of expertise in a manner that serves the shared interests of both countries.
H.E. the Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the Shura Council’s commitment to supporting avenues of cooperation, noting the strength of relations between the two countries and the growth they continue to witness reflecting the mutual desire to elevate them to broader horizons.
The meeting also addressed several issues of common interest, in addition to discussing future areas of cooperation between the two sides in ways that contribute to strengthening parliamentary and diplomatic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
