Students of the SQU visit Shura Council

A group of students from the Department of Islamic Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University visited the Shura Council, as part of the Council's commitment to enhancing community participation and raising awareness about its efforts, works, and authorities.

The students were briefed on the powers and roles of the members of the Shura Council according to the basic Law of the State and the Law of the Council of Oman.

They also discussed the work of the permanent committees of the Council, their mandates, the mechanisms for organizing regular Council sessions, and the legislative cycle for referred and proposed.
