03 سبتمبر 2026
The Secretariat General of the Shura Council has organised a training programme titled "Staff Skills Development," targeting Service Assistants among its staff. The programme forms part of the Secretariat's ongoing efforts to build employees' functional competencies, enhance institutional performance, and raise awareness of job duties, roles and responsibilities contributing to a stronger, more effective work environment.
The programme covered several themes related to the nature of job duties, chief among them the concept of the job role, workplace discipline and commitment, and professional ethics and conduct. It also addressed occupational safety and security procedures, the proper handling of mail and correspondence, and the organised registration and archiving of documents, along with job-related confidentiality and the safeguarding of documents against loss or disclosure.
A further theme focused on professional communication and workplace etiquette, including how staff interact with colleagues and serve the public. Participants also covered managing difficult situations, problem-solving, teamwork and personal responsibility, time management and daily task organisation, as well as the importance of cleanliness, tidiness and personal appearance in the workplace.
The programme aims to raise participants' efficiency, develop their professional skills, and strengthen their communication, discipline and commitment on the job. It also seeks to build greater awareness of occupational safety principles and performance-quality requirements, equipping staff to carry out their duties efficiently and effectively.
The programme is part of the Secretariat General's broader efforts to develop human capabilities and reinforce professional practice across the institution — supporting a culture built on discipline, responsibility and quality performance, and strengthening the role each employee plays in achieving the Council's institutional goals.
