The Majlis Bureau discusses a report of the Health and Environment Committee study related to the private investment in the health sector.
The Bureau planned to place the report on the agenda of the coming sitting. Furthermore, the Bureau reviewed the response of the Chief Executive of the Public Authority of Mining on the grantees and imposed financial fees on crashers and quarries. The agenda of the Bureau also touched on several letters of the Standing Committees and Their Excellencies the members. It viewed the legislative and oversight tools submitted by the members of the Majlis.
The 5th meeting of the Bureau was chaired by H.E. Eng/ Mohammed Abu Baker Al Ghassani, Deputy Chairman of the Majlis in the presence of the Bureau members.
During the meeting, the response of the Education Minister was reviewed concerning the number of the foreign teachers, their specialization and salaries. The response of the Finance Affairs Minister on the private loans for the Omani Shipping Company was reviewed . The response indicated that, the Council of Finance Affairs and Energy Resources issued a decision addressing the government loans and the accrued interests to the Omani Shipping Company.
Parliamentary tools
Regarding the parliamentary tools, the Majlis viewed the cognizance request to enrol the private sector companies in the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The request insisted to repeal the enrollment of the private sector companies.
The meeting also reviewed the question on the preventive procedures to avoid fire at schools. The Majlis touched on the report of the Majlis delegation participating in the Regional Seminar for Parliamentarian to implement the Sustainable Development Plan 2030.
