Shura Council Chairman receives Lebanese Ambassador

H.E. Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, received this morning (Wednesday) at the Council’s headquarters H.E. Majdi Ghaleb Mohammed, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.

H.E. the Chairman welcomed the Ambassador, affirming the Sultanate of Oman’s appreciation for Omani-Lebanese relations and the progress they continue to witness across various fields. He also underscored the importance of maintaining communication and exchanging expertise, particularly in the legislative sphere.

The Lebanese Ambassador emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, highlighting Oman’s constructive role in supporting dialogue and mutual understanding at various levels.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of both brotherly nations.
