The Shura Youth and Human Resources Committee engaged in discussions this Monday morning on the proposed draft law for specialized entities operating in the sports sector, along with the proposed project of the Fund for Supporting Sports, Cultural, and Youth Activities. These deliberations are part of their agenda for the first annual sitting. The proposed draft law for specialized entities in the sports sector aims to establish specific regulations governing the affiliation processes of local teams, the governance of these teams, and the determination of their systems. Additionally, it seeks to issue a fundamental system for local teams mirroring the fundamental system for sports clubs. On the other hand, the committee's examination of the proposed project for the Fund to Support Sports, Cultural, and Youth Activities is geared towards bolstering Oman's efforts in achieving sustainable goals in the realms of sports, culture, and youth. This includes advancing the infrastructure of these sectors and aligning with the plans, policies, and programs of the Ministry of Culture and Youth.

The meeting took place at the council headquarters during the fourth regular meeting of the first annual session (2023-2024) of the tenth term (2023-2027). The discussion was chaired by His Excellency Younis bin Ali Al Mandhary, the committee's president, and attended by esteemed members.

On another note, the committee met with several citizens to examine the circumstances of those affected by certain mobile vendors in a location in Muscat Governorate, due to a government project. Proposed solutions were discussed to mitigate the economic repercussions on the affected individuals.

Furthermore, the committee members attentively listened to the demands of some citizens employed under the "One Million Work Hours" program (part-time contract), seeking permanent positions upon the expiration of their contracts.
