Cairo, Egypt - April 27, 2024 - Oman's Shura Council made a strong showing at the 6th Arab Parliament Conference, focusing on both the promise and perils of artificial intelligence (AI). The conference, held under the banner "A Parliamentary Vision for Safe Deployment of Artificial Intelligence," brought together leaders from across the Arab world to discuss this transformative technology.

Oman Calls for Regulations

Leading the Omani delegation, Speaker Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma'awali stressed the importance of building a regulatory framework to ensure AI is used safely and ethically in Arab countries. He emphasized the need for AI development to align with Arab values and culture.
