Shura Council Secretariat General Organises Training Programme on Hospitality Etiquette and Protocol for Hospitality Section Staff

The Assistant Secretariat General for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Shura Council organised a training programme entitled “Hospitality Etiquette and Protocol” for employees of the Hospitality Section of the Secretariat General. The programme forms part of the Secretariat General’s ongoing efforts to enhance staff competencies, improve the quality of services provided, and foster a culture of excellence in institutional performance, in line with the official protocols and established practices governing the reception of delegations and the organisation of the Council’s events and official functions.
The 15-hour training programme is designed to equip participants with the professional skills required to deliver hospitality services to the highest standards, reflecting the Council’s institutional image and further enhancing the quality of hospitality services provided during official events and occasions.
The programme covers a range of specialised topics, including the importance of hospitality and its impact on institutional reputation, effective communication skills, personal etiquette, approaches to dealing with different personality types, reception and welcoming etiquette, professional dialogue skills, teamwork, time management, and coping with workplace pressures. It also addresses official hospitality protocols, the etiquette of serving food and beverages, handling challenging situations professionally, and selecting the appropriate equipment and materials for hospitality services in accordance with recognised professional standards.
The programme adopts interactive training methods combining lectures, presentations, practical exercises, video demonstrations, group discussions, and role-playing activities, enabling participants to apply theoretical knowledge in practical workplace scenarios and further enhancing their readiness to deliver hospitality services in accordance with best professional practices and official protocols.
The organisation of this programme reflects the Secretariat General’s continued commitment to developing the professional capabilities of its staff, enhancing institutional performance, and promoting a culture of excellence in the delivery of hospitality services in line with the Council’s institutional requirements and official protocols.
